Ruby Toor and Harjap Singh founded Rubsta, a fashion brand born from a powerful dream and unwavering determination. Our Creative Director, Ruby Toor, is a renowned designer and fashion stylist with an extensive background in the Bollywood industry and commercial styling. Her journey began in 2008 during her Post-Grad in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising in London when she focused her thesis on swimwear, driven by the lack of options in India. Little did she know that her vision would pave the way for her own brand.
The name "Rubsta" came to life when her family affectionately referred to her as a "rockstar" after seeing her impressive swimwear project. Ruby Toor's unique combination of "Ruby" and "Rockstar" became the heart and soul of the brand - a name that truly embodies her creativity and passion.
After 15 years of hardships, struggles, hope, and an unyielding spirit, Rubsta became a reality. With the universe finally listening, Ruby's dream took shape, and the brand began to flourish.
Materials We Use
Embracing sustainability in every stitch, our R-pet (recycled polyester) fabrics and organic materials are ethically crafted by our fair-trade certified factory in Delhi. Months of research have led us to mindfully choose a local supply chain, ensuring we keep our carbon footprint to a minimum.
Our eco-line is dedicated to resource conservation, utilizing regenerated and reused materials. We're committed to making a positive change in the fashion industry.
In our resort wear line, we focus on repurposing fabrics left over at small factories, thoughtfully transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces. Sustainability is at the heart of every creation we make
